Profital or Schnäppchen Jäger: which one helps with what?
We run one of the two sites, so read this with the suspicion it deserves. You do not have to take our word for anything: every point names its source, and you can check it in one click.
Everything on this page was checked on 7 September 2026.
The short answer
- Profital shows you what is on offer this week: the weekly brochures of more than 100 Swiss shops, from the supermarket to the DIY store, in one app.
- Schnäppchen Jäger answers the other question. You already know what you want to buy and you want to see where it is cheapest. We put the price of the same product at Migros, Lidl, Coop, Aldi and Denner side by side.
- One does not rule out the other. Profital for the ideas, us for the actual price: that is a sensible combination.
What Profital does better
If this page only said good things about us, you could close it right away. So here is where Profital is the better choice.
- There is a real app for iPhone and Android. We have none, everything here runs in a browser.
- More than 100 retailers from almost every trade: DIY, furniture, electronics, clothes, pharmacy, petrol station, restaurant. We only have groceries from five chains.
- A message on your phone as soon as a favourite shop publishes a new brochure. We do not send those.
- Branches and opening hours near you. We cannot do that at all.
- Free, and no account needed. Without an account you get five searches a day here.
- It replaces the pile of paper in your letterbox, and that is what users praise it for most often.
What Schnäppchen Jäger is built for
- Search for one product and see the price at five supermarkets side by side. On 7 September 2026 we held 21,736 products with a price.
- Price per kilo and per litre, so the 500 gram pack and the one kilo pack become comparable. That is the number that matters when you compare.
- A shopping list that tells you which shop is cheapest for the whole basket.
- Coop is included here. The Coop supermarket does not appear in the retailer list on Profital's Play Store page of 24 August 2026.
- No advertising. The site is paid for by the people who use it, not by the shops. Nobody can buy their way to the top of a result.
What we cannot do
- We have no app, neither in the App Store nor on Google Play.
- No notifications on your phone. We send you an email when something on your list gets cheaper, and only on the paid plan.
- Groceries only, and only Migros, Lidl, Coop, Aldi and Denner. DIY, furniture and electronics are not here.
- Our coverage is very uneven. On 7 September 2026 we held 14,730 products from Migros, 2,767 from Lidl, 2,279 from Coop, 1,746 from Aldi and only 214 from Denner. If you cannot find something, it is usually missing from us rather than from the shop.
- We read prices from each chain's own online shop. That is not the price on the shelf in your branch, and it may have changed since we read it.
- Cumulus, Supercard and other loyalty cards are not connected here.
- Without an account you get five searches a day, with a free account twenty. No daily limit costs CHF 2 a month.

What users write about Profital
We quote in the original language and link to the store so you can read for yourself. The most frequent complaint is exactly the point at issue here: the search finds brochures, not individual products. The praise is mostly for getting rid of the paper in the letterbox.
App Store, March 29, 2025, 2 out of 5 «was a so good tool to search a product in the multi flyer from coop Migros Denner otto etc… but now, no more products searching…»
App Store, October 30, 2025, 1 out of 5 «Schwach: wichtige Anbieter wie COOP, Landi, Hornbach und ähnliche sind (noch?) nicht auf der App.»
Google Play, July 28, 2026 Reply from Bring! Labs AG, July 30, 2026

Prices change, on both sides
Both services show prices that were read at some point in the past. Profital's terms of use say it does not answer for errors or incomplete information. The same is true here. The till is what counts. If a few francs are at stake, check in the shop.
Try it: search for something you buy regularly.
