1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Schnäppchen Jäger, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Service description

Schnäppchen Jäger is a platform that collects and displays publicly available product prices from Swiss retailers (Lidl, Migros, Coop, Aldi, Denner). We provide features for comparing prices, keeping shopping lists and finding offers. A basic service is free to use; the full service requires a paid subscription (see section 5).

3. Price Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date pricing information, prices are collected automatically and may occasionally contain errors or be outdated. Actual in-store prices may differ. Schnäppchen Jäger does not guarantee the accuracy of any price information and is not responsible for discrepancies between displayed and actual prices.

4. User Accounts

You may create a free account to access additional features such as shopping lists. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account.

5. Subscription and prices

Without an account you get 5 searches a day free of charge; with a free account you get 20 a day. The subscription costs CHF 2 a month or CHF 20 a year and includes searching without a daily limit, as many shopping lists as you like, and a message as soon as something on your list gets cheaper. All prices include VAT: the figure shown is the figure charged to you. Payments are handled by our payment provider Stripe; we do not store card details ourselves.

6. Renewal, cancellation and refunds

The subscription starts when you pay and renews automatically for the same period at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, without giving a reason and without a minimum term. What counts is the end of the period you have already paid for: everything stays available until then, and nothing is charged afterwards. You cancel it yourself in your account, under Subscription. Amounts already paid are not refunded pro rata. We will tell you about any price change by email at least 30 days in advance. If you do not agree with it, you can cancel before the change takes effect.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse our service. This includes but is not limited to: automated scraping of our website, attempting to disrupt our service, creating multiple accounts to abuse features, or using the service for any unlawful purpose.

8. Intellectual property

The Schnäppchen Jäger platform, including its design, code, and original content, is protected by copyright. Product names, images, and descriptions belong to their respective owners and retailers. Our compilation and comparison of pricing data represents our original work.

9. Limitation of liability

Schnäppchen Jäger is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of our service, including but not limited to financial losses based on price information displayed on our platform.

10. Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users or through a notice on our website. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with Swiss law. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Switzerland.
